The Internship Program in Practical Accounting (IPPA) is a comprehensive course designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry needs. This hands-on program equips participants with practical skills in bookkeeping, financial reporting, taxation, statutory compliances, and accounting ERP.

This is 15-month program, which combines 3 months class room training and 12 months paid internship.

Graduates usually lack the knowledge and skillsets required to work in an Industry. Hence a bridge course to fill the gap between academic knowledge and practical knowledge is required to be employable on the job.

Some accounting programs offer no internship and some others offer up to maximum of 3 months. However, experienced CAs & Industry experts have opined that only candidates who get an exposure of a whole accounting year, will get the real benefit of internship. Anything less than that will be yet another certification without real value addition.

M. Com. is a prerequisite for M. Phil or Ph.D., hence for anyone desirous of pursuing an academic career, M. Com is better option. However, if a candidate wishes to pursue a career in the industry, a 15 Month IPPA course is a far better choice than a M. Com.

Salary may vary from Rs.1,20,000 to Rs.2,40,000 per annum depending of the place of work.
